In January of this year I was invited to conduct a week long workshop at the famous Camp Creative in Bellingen, NSW teaching Impressionist Oil Painting.
On the advice of a good friend, I took the opportunity during a break in the workshop to drive up the mountain range to the small town of Dorrigo. Just out of town I came across this stunning waterfall and knew right away I had to paint it.
After hiking down into the canyon I snapped of dozens of photos and made several small sketches gathering ideas on how best to paint it. This painting is the result.
