"Red Bluff, Sandringham"
35cm x 25cm
Oil on Board
Framed, ready to hang
One of my favorite paintings is by the Heidelberg School Impressionist Tom Roberts titled 'Slumbering Sea'
It's a view towards the Red Bluff from Sandringham beach. In it a small fishing boat is about to be launched while a lady in all her Victorian finery sits by watching.
Recently I traveled to Melbourne to visit the area from Brighton down to the Mornington Penninsula and beyond to gather as many photos as I could.
This painting is from a photo I took of a similar vantage point that Roberts would have painted 'Slumbering Sea'.
