Day 21 of the 31 day challenge for January.

The endless search for subject matter. And not just any subject. The search for something unique, something special, something that hasn’t been capture in paint in the landscape before.

All too often the subjects that excite me the most seem to be the most overwhelming and complex to tackle. Once voice in my head says ‘Yes paint that!’ while the other more analytical side of me replies in a cynical tone ‘You want me to paint what?’

This study is an attempt, an experiment, in capturing the chaos contained within the natural order of the bush.

My goal is to try out new ideas and different compositions. Experiment, play and have fun. By painting daily of course it will improve my skills as well.

I will sell most of these sketches on Ebay for no reserve auctions. Some will be used as ideas for larger works, and some may become episodes of Learn To Paint TV.
