Becoming an artist is a journey. For many its a life long journey, for others like myself it is a journey we don't start until later in life.
My view is that it is a spiritual journey ... a voyage of self discovery in which we are constantly drive by a desire to create, and constantly challenged by our own self imposed limitations mentally and emotionally.
On that journey there are many twists and turns, wins and losses, pros and cons, bumps in the road and times were things sail along easily.
And of course there are key milestones, or events in our journey that help shape and define how we move forward into the next phase of our journey.
For me one of the most significant moments on my journey was visiting Monet's home in Giverny, France and walking amongst his gardens.
It was a spiritual experience and has left me constantly dreaming of going back to Giverny some time soon.
