This was a lucky find. Some subjects just call out to you and this was one of those.
I had been driving around central Victoria for most of the day in search of subjects to paint. It's a never ending quest for artists.
As it was getting late in the day I decided it was time to head back to home base. So I drove through the small town of Glen Rowan and headed out on the backroads towards Benella.
The sun was getting lower in the sky making it harder to see where I was going. Then out of the corner of my eye, I caught a glimpse of the sun bouncing off the roof of this old shearer Shed.
Naturally, I had to pull over and take a pic. The scene lends itself beautifully to a landscape painting.
