"Tumut River Autumn Reflections"
Oil on Canvas
102cm x 76cm
For years I had been hearing of artists going to Tumut to paint.
So recently on the way back home from Melbourne I had the opportunity to spend a few days visiting the area. It just so happened it was autumn which is undoubtedly the best time to visit.
The Tumut River is lined with beautiful poplar trees that had fully turned on their bright yellows and oranges when I was there. Lucky me.
What a great subject to paint, don't you think?
One of the downsides of living in Noosa is I never see Autumn colours in the trees anymore so this was a blessing to spend a few days in this beautiful town.
I will definitely be back in Tumut next year to catch more of the Autumn magic.
